Dubbing and voice-over

Language adaptation and voice recording in other languages for audiovisual content.

FROM SOURCE TO DELIVERY

The same message. A different way to reach your audience.

Content is adapted to be read on screen or heard in another language, with the video’s context in mind.

Original speech · Portuguese

“Bem-vindos ao nosso encontro anual.”

As a voice recording script

English version

Welcome to our annual meeting.

Text adapted for spoken delivery, taking pace, duration and the video’s purpose into account.

In dubbing, the new voice replaces the original speech. In voice-over, it may be layered over the original audio, depending on the project.

As subtitles

English version

Welcome to our annual meeting.

Translated text on screen, with line breaks, reading time and synchronization.

Illustrative text example. Final adaptation and synchronization depend on the material and agreed format.

WHEN TO CHOOSE THIS SERVICE

Your content voiced in another language.

Training, corporate videos, presentations, campaigns and audiovisual communication.

The choice between dubbing and voice-over affects script adaptation, voice direction and post-production.

Voice count, synchronization, mixing and file delivery are agreed before production. Additional work such as subtitles can be included in a specific audiovisual proposal.

HOW THE PROJECT WORKS

From brief to delivery.

The stages follow the scope defined in the proposal.

  1. Definition of language, tone and voice format

  2. Script adaptation and voice selection as required

  3. Recording and delivery of audio or video as quoted

BEFORE YOU ORDER

What is the difference between dubbing and voice-over?

In dubbing, new voices replace the original speech according to the agreed synchronization. With voice-over, narration is typically layered over the source audio. The right format depends on the video and its purpose.

Before we begin

Indicate whether the new voice should replace the original speech or play over it, and share the script and voice references.
